About

What we build and why

Glaycier Labs is built on the principle that climate science and the sustainability field must evolve alongside advances in technology. It brings together environmental & climate research with modern technologies like ML, computer vision, cloud infrasturctures, and scalable data systems to accelerate climate action and mitigation.

The lab was conceptualised by Tanfiz Hussain, who has worked across carbon markets, forestry and landscape restoration with both government and non-government actors, and observed the critical technological gaps in this field. His aim is to develop climate solutions that are credible and deployable at scale, while ensuring scientific rigor and implementation.

At the pilot stage, the focus is on building tools and systems that reduce friction in everyday climate workflows, whether it is assessing land-use change, deploying MRV tools, or enabling credible and transparent carbon benefits estimation; with a goal to expand to a much more broader suite of tools and products.
